CeCe and Christian

CeCe (40) and Christian (54) live together in a small one-bedroom apartment. Both names are on the lease so both believe they have the right to be there, in spite of the fact that CeCe pays the rent. 
Christian is an aspiring director, writer, producer and artist.  He never held a steady job during their ten-year marriage. CeCe, feeling that things would never change, filed for divorce. Though uncontested, Christian holds onto the belief that the marriage is reconcilable.  CeCe dropped a restraining order against Christian and against his word he moved back into the apartment. When we meet them CeCe says she is ready to move on but doesn't want to see Christian left homeless.  So she is stuck in an apartment... with her ex-husband on the couch.

Peter and Debbie

_ Peter (36) and Debbie (30) got married after two months of dating when Debbie became pregnant. The marriage was a tumultuous one, as Peter traveled constantly and Debbie suffered from anxiety and depression. What has resulted is a two-bedroom apartment rife with tension, anger and outbursts… all in front of their two year-old son Severin.  They do not have the financial means to maintain two households on Peter’s salary, so they are stuck living together in constant turmoil. Even if Peter could afford to move out, he fears leaving his son alone with a depressed and anxious mother who sleeps until the afternoon many days.
